Photo Friday: In the Gardens
The Fellowship | February 22, 2019
“My beloved has gone down to his garden,
to the beds of spices,
to browse in the gardens
and to gather lilies.
I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine;
he browses among the lilies.” (Song of Songs 6:2-3)
As winter gives way to summer, and despite Gazan terrorists’ attempts to burn the Holy Land’s fields, the national flower of Israel blooms. Here we see the bright red Anemone coronaria, known in Hebrew as “kalanit,” which comes from the word for bride — beautiful and stately. Shabbat shalom, friends.
