Photo Friday: Friendship with Each Other
Stand for Israel | July 24, 2020
“Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the LORD, saying, ‘The LORD is witness between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants forever.'” (1 Samuel 20:42)
The above words come, of course, from Jonathan to David, two young Israelites whose friendship in the Bible inspires us to this day.
But they could just as easily describe the two Israeli boys above. Taken in 1962 in Ashdod, in southern Israel, the photograph shows Joseph and Amos. Joseph, born in Bombay, made aliyah (immigrated to the Holy Land) and befriended Israeli-born Amos. Shabbat shalom, friends.
