Photo Friday: My People Israel

Stand for Israel  |  April 22, 2022

Holocaust survivors arrive in Israel, November 1944

“But you, mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown, and I will cause many people to live on you—yes, all of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will increase the number of people and animals living on you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the LORD. I will cause people, my people Israel, to live on you.” (Ezekiel 36:8-12)

Next week, the people of Israel — and those who stand for Israel — will observe Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. And as we mourn the six million Jewish lives taken during the Holocaust, let us also find hope in prophecy foretold and God’s promises fulfilled.

In this photo, taken in the latter days of World War II, those survivors of the Holocaust, of the Nazi death camps, arrive in their biblical homeland. Yes, just as prophesied in the Bible, God’s people — Israel — came home… and are still coming home. Shabbat shalom, friends.
