Photo Friday: I Well Remember Them

“I well remember them,
and my soul is downcast within me.
Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.” (Lamentations 3:20-22)
Today we remember the thousands of victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The 9/11 attacks may have happened 19 years ago, but we will not forget them, as we continue to battle evil and continue to pray for our loving God’s shalom, peace. This Living Memorial outside of His Holy City, Jerusalem, shows that Israel surely remembers. And we remember, too, that as the Bible says, God’s compassion will keep us from being consumed.
