One of the ways we help elderly and Holocaust survivors in Israel is through our With Dignity and Fellowship program. And while the program provides lifesaving food and medicine, elderly beneficiaries also receive the love and attention of the entire Fellowship family! We know that sometimes, in addition to basic needs, what these elderly need more than anything is a way to alleviate loneliness and find a sense of community and friendship.

Recently, Fellowship volunteers noticed that many participants in our With Dignity and Fellowship program are interested in creating art to give them meaning during the day. In an effort to give them a chance to share their artwork with the community and feel a sense of belonging and purpose, we organized an art show and exhibition to present their works of art to the public.

This is just one example of how the program also provides companionship and social activities for the elderly to engage with fellow members in their local community. There are about 16,000 needy elderly in our With Dignity and Fellowship program in Israel.
