Tamir’s 10-year-old son was very happy to hear that The Fellowship is providing a fortified vehicle for his father. That’s because his father is a security officer protecting the border with Gaza. Until now, this 10 year old worried for his father’s life when Tamir would drive around in an unprotected vehicle.

By the end of 2022, we are proud to report that we’ve delivered four fortified vehicles to protect the security officers in Eshkol, Hof Ashkelon, Sdot Negev, and Sha’ar HaNegev regional councils, which are all located near the Gaza border.

The Fellowship stepped in to help the security officers near Gaza right after 2021’s Operation Guardian of the Walls. During this attack, hundreds of terrorist rockets rained down on Israel—even targeting cities, including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Security officers on the scene were driving vehicles that weren’t fortified, even as rockets fell, putting their lives at risk.

When Yael Eckstein met with security officers near Gaza shortly after the attacks, they said the protection they needed most was secure vehicles to help protect the people of Israel—and The Fellowship listened!

Now thanks to donors around the world—faithful friends who stand with Israel—people like Tamir know they are protected against any attack and can do their job more safely. This means Tamir can save more lives and his son can feel confident that his father will come home after a day out in the field.
