Project Spotlight: Fellowship Soup Kitchens

Food distribution at soup kitchens during COVID-19 virus pandemic. Man packing prepared meals on table for delivery.

The Fellowship’s good work continues amid the global health crisis thanks to Fellowship-supported soup kitchens. We continue to provide food assistance to the most vulnerable and help fund soup kitchens that are making home deliveries to those in need.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, the request for delivered meals from soup kitchens doubled. Many of these calls were from elderly or family of elderly who worried about their loved ones. And while the soup kitchen restaurants needed to close, home deliveries or pick up options remained available. We know these delivered meals mean the difference to impoverished elderly, ensuring they can eat during this difficult time.

While we are uncertain about the future due to the crisis, we are so proud of Fellowship staff, volunteers, and YOU, our wonderful supporters who carry on this good work.
