Project Spotlight: Fellowship Happiness Vehicle

The Fellowship  |  January 26, 2021

Have you heard of our Fellowship Happiness Vehicle? Watch now to see Fellowship volunteers drive around to the homes of our With Dignity and Fellowship recipients to bring cheer and happiness to elderly as Israel faces yet another lockdown for the coronavirus.

During lockdowns, our elderly suffer the most with loneliness. It might not sound lifesaving, but a friendly visit from The Fellowship can sometimes make all the difference. As one recipient said, “We’re really happy that you came to bring cheer to the elderly!” Fellowship volunteers played music, sang songs, and danced to lift the elderly’s spirits and reassure them they are not alone, even when the world seems to be so uncertain. They also distributed Winter Warmth packages and supermarket cards to needy elderly living in public housing, since we’re still in the middle of the cold season and so many elderly struggle to pay their electricity bills or buy groceries.

Thank you to our faithful supporters who continue to support Israelis in need — together, we continue to bring so much support, cheer, and hope.
