Tonight at sundown, the Jewish people will begin the celebration of Tu B'Shvat, the New Year of the Trees. This holiday, based on biblical law, is today a time to plant trees and celebrate the beauty of nature which God has given us. In this photo from 1986, the beloved folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary plant trees outside of Jerusalem. Shabbat shalom, friends.
