Project Spotlight: Camp for a Day

The Fellowship funds activities at 104 elderly clubs that are located throughout Israel. The elderly clubs provide hot meals for seniors who don’t have the means or the ability to cook meals for themselves and cannot afford outside help. Elderly also spend time socializing with friends and volunteers – and sometimes they take trips off site, like to Camp for a Day!

Recently, a Fellowship field coordinator arranged for a Camp for a Day event with elderly club participants. They spent the day at the Dimona Country Club where they enjoyed swimming and socializing with one another. The elderly ate a delicious lunch and had snacks throughout the day, including coffee, pastries, and popsicles. They also did a dancing and movement class together at the country club. There was much dancing and much joy.
