Faces of The Fellowship: Chava
Faces of The Fellowship: Chava

Chava, a 77-year-old widow, lives alone in Israel. She participates in The Fellowship’s With Dignity and Fellowship project, which provides impoverished elderly assistance with food, medicine, and companionship.

Chava also receives monthly deliveries from The Fellowship’s virtual supermarket, which offers elderly who are strong enough to cook but too weak to go shopping an opportunity to order food for free. Fellowship volunteers visit Chava’s home with a laptop and help her order the food she wants, then volunteers deliver the food to her home. Both visits provide much-needed companionship for elderly shut-ins like Chava.

The Fellowship‘s Yael Eckstein recently visited Chava to deliver one of her food boxes. Throughout Yael’s visit, Chava couldn’t stop blessing Yael and the volunteers with her for all the care and love she receives from The Fellowship.
