Psalm 18:2

“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Israel just observed Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), a day to remember the six million Jewish lives lost in the Holocaust. It’s a solemn day of mourning and remembrance. But it’s also a day to hold on to faith and know that God loves His people. This year, it’s so important that we pray that the world never forgets the lessons of the Holocaust, especially as we see anti-Semitism rising across the world. Let us all cry out to God and pray that one day, no such hatred will exist in our world.

  • Pray for students across U.S. college campuses currently experiencing unrest, especially the Jewish students who feel a threat to their safety from rising anti-Semitism and vicious anti-Israel protests. Pray that all students, no matter their background, will come together in understanding. “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6).
  • After nearly 100 rockets fired by Hezbollah struck northern Israel earlier this week, praise God that even though a rocket DID hit a Fellowship-supported soup kitchen, it didn’t detonate inside and none were injured. We thank God for His miracles and for ensuring the soup kitchen can continue to serve the most vulnerable in this war zone. “LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress” (Isaiah 33:2).
  • Pray for all the hostages still trapped in Gaza and for the loved ones of those taken hostage, that they remain strong and find the support they need during this ongoing devastation and trauma. Pray that God brings wisdom to world leaders involved in making the hostage deals, so the innocent victims who were kidnapped on October 7 come home soon. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11).
  • Let us pray for all the Holocaust survivors who are still with us today, especially some 2,500 survivors who witnessed the atrocities of the October 7 Hamas attacks. Let us be here to witness their stories and help show them they are not alone. “But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me” (Micah 7:7).
  • Pray for The Fellowship, and that we may reach everyone suffering from this brutal war on Israel and show them that we love and support the people of Israel. “Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you” (Psalm 5:11).
