Yael Eckstein Named to the ‘Jewish 100’ for Her Work

JERUSALEM — The Algemeiner, a leading publication in Israel, has unveiled its latest “Jewish 100” (J100) list—an exclusive roster of “the top one hundred individuals who have positively influenced Jewish life this past year.” The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (The Fellowship) is pleased to announce their new President, Mrs. Yael Eckstein, 35, has been honored to have her name featured in this list, alongside other tireless advocates and influential change-makers in the Jewish culture.

“Without these Jewish 100–either the individuals or the organizations they represent–Jewish life would not be at the caliber it is today,” the announcement from The Algemeiner goes on to say. The Algemeiner refers to Yael Eckstein as “one of the world’s leading Jewish interfaith activists.” As Yael continues the vision of her late father and founder of the Fellowship, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, she is never shy to speak up for the injustices Jews face on a daily basis in Israel and around the world. Yet, she isn’t just an advocate for Jewish causes. She and her team at The Fellowship provide Christians an effective way to get immediate and practical life-saving support to the people of Israel, 365 days a year.

“This is an incredible honor,” said Mrs. Eckstein, “but it’s really an honor that should be shared. My name on this list is a collective representation of our hundreds-of-thousands of Christian supporters and the many Fellowship staff in Israel and the U.S. who wake up every morning and consider the ways they can help the Jewish people and help resolve the many threats and obstacles they face in our world today. I pray that I and those alongside me can live up to this honor in the years to come. There is much work to do.”

The Fellowship has the distinction of being the largest charitable organization in the nation of Israel, and Mrs. Eckstein also has the distinction of being a woman leading one of the world’s largest religious, not-for-profit organizations.

They raise millions of dollars every year to help Jews in need around the world, lending a hand to Holocaust survivors, supporting the IDF, and stepping up to provide critical security for those in Israel who are under constant threat from hostile neighbors.
