Suzanne Peyser

Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Newport News, Virginia, Suzanne Peyser credits her interest in seeking common ground with Christian neighbors to her southern upbringing. “It’s important for Jews to express our gratitude and appreciation to our Christian brothers and sisters and build bridges of friendship and co-operation. The Fellowship has provided me an opportunity to do this.” In the 1980’s she began her own bridge-building efforts, assembling a group of Jews and Christians to meet regularly in her suburban Washington, D.C. home. She continues her grassroots efforts to increase understanding between Christians and Jews — and to raise support for The Fellowship.
