Sha’ar HaNegev Trauma Center

During and after Operation Protective Edge, residents of Sha’ar HaNegev needed a place to heal and seek counseling. Yet there was no reinforced building where therapy sessions could take place. Whenever there was a code-red alert during a treatment session, both the social worker and the patient had to stop in the middle of the session and run to a bomb shelter, basically making it impossible for recovery to take place.

Thankfully, The Fellowship is making sure these residents can seek comfort in a new fully protected and reinforced Sha’ar HaNegev Trauma Center, located just a mile and a half away from the Gaza Strip. After renovations are complete, no one will be at risk. We are honored to stand with both the citizens of Sha’ar HaNegev and the mental health professionals who risked their safety to treat patients during war.
