IDF soldiers celebrate Hanukkah with Fellowship vehicle

Hanukkah will soon be celebrated by Jewish people around the world, and we are once again thankful that we can provide some holiday cheer to the IDF soldiers who tirelessly protect the nation of Israel. During this festive season, The Fellowship’s hospitality vehicles travel to bases and outposts all around the Holy Land to deliver soldiers traditional Hanukkah treats, like jelly doughnuts or “sufganiyot.”

On Hanukkah, it’s traditional to eat foods fried in oil in commemoration of the miracle of the menorah that happened during the rededication of the Holy Temple. When the victorious people of Israel reached the Temple, they only found one jar of olive oil, enough to keep the eternal flame of the menorah lit for one day. In faith, they lit the menorah, and miraculously, the flame lasted for eight nights until more pure oil could be found.

You can partner with The Fellowship to bring cheer and care to Israel’s “watchmen on the walls” during this season of light and miracles.
