Stabbing near IFCJ Office in Jerusalem

In the second terror attack in Israel today, a man was stabbed and wounded at a Jerusalem mall on the same street as the IFCJ office. Arutz Sheva’s Uzi Baruch reports that the victim is being treated and that the terrorist is being pursued:

A stabbing took place on Thursday afternoon, at the Achim Yisrael Mall in the Talpiot industrial area in the southeast of Jerusalem.

Magen David Adom (MDA) medical forces provided treatment to one 25-year-old victim who was lightly wounded in the incident, and evacuated him to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in the capital. He was suffering stab wounds to the upper body…

The stabber fled the scene. It remains unclear what the circumstances of the stabbing were, and whether it was a terror attack or a criminal incident.

Jerusalem district police released a statement saying, “from an initial investigation of the incident it becomes clear a civilian who stepped out of a store adjacent to Achim Yisrael Mall was wounded…”

The stabbing comes on the heels of a terror attack near Ariel in Samaria earlier on Thursday, in which a female soldier was stabbed by two Arab terrorists and moderately to seriously wounded.

The terrorists stabbed the soldier in the throat near a bus stop at the entrance to Ariel, before being shot and killed by security forces.

IFCJ staff were all in the office at the time, and are safe. Please pray for the recovery of today’s victims, as well as for God’s hand of protection over all of Israel.
