Terrorism has struck worshipers in Canada, where a shooting at a Quebec mosque left six dead and nineteen wounded, five of them critically:

The two men arrested following the deadly shooting at a Quebec City mosque Sunday night are in their late 20s or early 30s, according to police, who refused to reveal any further information about their identities.

Six men died in the shooting during evening prayers at the Centre Culturel Islamique de Québec (Islamic cultural centre of Quebec). Nineteen people were also wounded.

Police cited the ongoing investigation as the reason for not revealing any other details about the two men. They also said it’s too early to know the motive or what charges may be laid.

Premier Philippe Couillard has described the shooting as a “murderous act directed at a specific community…”

Rabbi Eckstein has shared the following in response to the shooting: “We are all in shock and condemn this senseless act of violence. I ask our Fellowship family to join together in prayer for the victims and those who lost loved ones.”
