Saudi Arabia Tells Citizens to Leave Lebanon

As the Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah consolidates power in the Lebanese government, Saudi Arabia is telling its citizens to leave Lebanon amid threats of war. Last weekend the Saudi-backed Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigned during a trip to Saudi Arabia.

Also this week in Israel in the News:

  • The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued a new report this week, saying terror groups are pursuing new technology to carry out attacks, such as using weaponized drones and poisons.
  • After the Israel Defense Forces destroyed an Islamic Jihad terror tunnel from the Gaza Strip and arrested a senior Islamic Jihad field commander, the Islamic Jihad terror group has threatened an attack against Israel “as immediately as possible.”
  • At a special ceremony sponsored by The Fellowship, 45 Holocaust survivors finally celebrated their bar or bat mitzvahs at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. They were unable to experience this traditional entrance into adulthood because of the Holocaust.
  • After a devastating earthquake struck Iran near its border with Iraq, killing more than 400, Israel offered aid through the Red Cross to the country. Iranian officials rejected any assistance from Israel.
