“Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me—a foreigner?” (Ruth 2:10)

As we remember Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein this week, perhaps no photo (or Bible verse) better sums up the work that he was called to do. Here, in a photo from 2012 when the last mass aliyah (immigration to Israel) of Ethiopian Jews was made, Rabbi Eckstein welcomes a young olim (immigrant) to the Holy Land. Shabbat shalom, friends.
