“Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world.
Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,
for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”
(Isaiah 12:5-6)

In this photo from the Holy Land in 1963, members of the IDF’s Nahal Women Soldiers Settlers Choir sing at the inauguration of a new settlement, a moshav called Mei Ami. And yes, the town’s name comes from the name Miami, as the Jewish community of that city in the United States helped turn this Israeli community into a reality. Shabbat shalom, friends.
