Iran Shoots Down U.S. Drone

The downing of an American drone in international airspace near Iran by the Iranian military has many on Capitol Hill concerned about a possible showdown with the Iranians. President Trump called the attack, “a very big mistake.”

  • With escalating tensions on all sides of Israel in the Middle East, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned regional aggressors, “The IDF has an immense destructive power. Do not test us.”
  • Israel unveiled a new Jewish settlement in the Golan Heights, Trump Heights, honoring President Trump for recognizing Israel’s sovereignty in that area.
  • U.S. House Republicans are urging Twitter to ban Hamas and its affiliates from using the social media site. In the past, Twitter has banned activity by ISIS and Hezbollah.
