On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched dozens of attacks against Iranian targets in Syria that are connected to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force. At least 23 were reportedly killed in the pre-dawn attacks.

  • The Trump Administration recently passed another policy in support of Israel, declaring that Israeli settlements in the West Bank are not illegal.
  • Fellowship President and CEO Yael Eckstein praised the decision, calling it “a sensible policy grounded in reality, which is a first step in the process to achieve lasting peace in the Holy Land.”
  • Meanwhile, Israel’s Blue and White party leader, Benny Gantz, conceded defeat on Wednesday in his attempt to form a new governing coalition by the deadline. The Knesset, Israel’s parliament, will now have 21 days for any member to try and form a government.
  • While that was happening, the Israeli Attorney General announced charges against current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. This is the first time a sitting Prime Minister has been indicted.

This week’s Israel in the News Perspective features The Fellowship’s President and CEO Yael Eckstein on the unexpected blessings that come from a time of crisis.
