A Walking Miracle

Last month, Stand for Israel was heartbroken to learn and report on the terrorist shooting that left a married couple and their baby clinging to life. Sadly, little Amiad Yisrael lost his life, with his death uniting the grieving people of Israel. But today, there is good news. The Jerusalem Post’s Zachary Keyser reports that Shira and Amichai Ish-Ran have at last been released from the Fellowship-supported Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem:

One month to the day after the terrorist attack, the couple walked out of the hospital with the assistance of a walker and crutches…

“We are a walking miracle,” Shira said leaving the hospital. “I got to the hospital lying down, and left walking…”

“It’s not clear to me how our rehabilitation has progressed so quickly and in such a good way,” Shira Ish-Ran told a crowd of reporters on her way out of the hospital. “Your prayers help. Keep praying. I also want to thank the hospital staff, how much they did for us and with sensitivity. It’s just unbelievable.”

She continued, “I want to thank the Holy One, blessed be He. We are a walking miracle… and we thank the miracles every day.”
