IDF Bombs Hamas in Response to Rocket

Hours after terrorists launched a rocket into central Israel that destroyed a family home and left seven wounded, the IDF has responded by striking Hamas targets in Gaza. The Times of Israel’s Judah Ari Gross and Adam Rasgon report that the Israeli military has struck terrorist sites in the Hamas-ruled enclave, including the office of the terrorist group’s leader:
The Israeli military began bombing targets throughout the Gaza Strip on Monday evening, including the empty office of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, some 12 hours after a rocket fired from the coastal enclave slammed into a home in central Israel, injuring seven people.
“At this time, the Israel Defense Forces has started to attack terror targets belonging to the Hamas terror group throughout the Gaza Strip,” the army said in a statement shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Approximately three hours into its bombing campaign, a mortar shell was fired from the Gaza Strip toward the nearby Eshkol region, triggering air raid sirens, the IDF said…
