“Praise be to the LORD my Rock,
    who trains my hands for war,
    my fingers for battle.
He is my loving God and my fortress,
    my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge” (Psalm 144:1-2)

This Veterans Day, Stand for Israel remembers all of the brave men and women who have defended our freedoms. As King David, himself a defender of a nation, wrote at the end of this psalm, “Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the LORD” (v. 15).
