Photo Friday: Your Older Sister Was Samaria

“Your older sister was Samaria, who lived to the north of you with her daughters…” (Ezekiel 16:46)

In the Old Testament we read of Samaria to the north of Jerusalem, where the people known as the Samaritans originate. There is still debate over whether the people gave the place its name or vice versa. But what we know is the mention of both in the Bible, including Jesus’ famous parable of The Good Samaritan.
