“Awake, north wind,
and come, south wind!
Blow on my garden,
that its fragrance may spread everywhere.”
(Song of Songs 4:16)

The year is 1949. The modern state of Israel has only enjoyed a year of independence. But these young Israelis know how to tend the Holy Land, learning to garden from their teacher at the Ben Shemen Youth Village, whose alumni include Israeli Prime Minister and Fellowship friend, Shimon Peres.
