Photo Friday: Like a Shepherd

“He tends his flock like a shepherd:
    He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
    he gently leads those that have young.” (Isaiah 40:11)

For millennia, God has tended His children “like a shepherd,” in the Holy Land He promised them and elsewhere. Here in the Galilee, in pre-state Israel of 1940, a young Jewish shepherd tends his own flock, leading them across the Promised Land. Shabbat shalom, friends.
