Iron Dome Intercepts Rockets from Gaza During Concert

The Iron Dome defense system intercepted two of three missiles fired from Gaza into Israel Sunday during an outdoor concert in Sderot, causing thousands to rush to bomb shelters. Minor injuries were reported.
- The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah is threatening to retaliate against Israel after two Hezbollah fighters were killed during Israeli airstrikes against an Iranian stronghold in Syria.
- U.S. President Trump said he is open to peace talks with Iran, but Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said U.S. sanctions would have to be lifted first.
- In response, White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said that the U.S. remains committed to keeping Iranian sanctions in place.
- Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez said his country is opening a diplomatic trade office in Jerusalem as a “recognition that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.”
