Our hearts are troubled as we learn of an ongoing terrorist situation at a synagogue in the United States. The Times of Israel’s Jacob Magid reports on hostages being taken during a Jewish worship service in Texas:

Police in Texas responded Saturday to a hostage situation taking place during morning services at a Reform synagogue in Colleyville, Texas.

At least four people were being held hostage at Congregation Beth Israel, including the rabbi of the synagogue, two sources at the scene confirmed to The Times of Israel…

The hostage holder was named as Muhammad Siddiqui by ABC News, though the network clarified that authorities have yet to officially identify him.

The suspect claimed during the livestream to be the brother of Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani national who was convicted in 2010 by a New York City federal court of attempting to kill US military personnel…

Please join us in praying for God’s protection over those in harm’s way, as well as a peaceful resolution to this horrific situation.
