Memorial Portrait of Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein In Loving Memory 1951-2019

The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is mourning the passing of its Founder and President Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, who died Wednesday at his home in Jerusalem at age 67. A prominent leader in Israel and the U.S., Eckstein is remembered for his trailblazing work connecting Christians and Jews. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin called Eckstein “a great man, a great Jew, and a great Zionist.”

  • The Fellowship will move forward under the leadership of Rabbi Eckstein’s daughter, Yael, who eulogized her father at his funeral on Thursday.
  • This week, during his State of the Union address, President Trump continued to show his support for Israel, calling out Iran for its anti-Semitic aggression toward the Jewish state.

This week’s Israel in the News Perspective features The Fellowship’s Global Chief Operating Officer reflecting on Rabbi Eckstein.
