Let us be strong and courageous. God has not forsaken His people. We must remain as certain of Israel's future as we are of her past. That past is a story written by God Himself – and the future, too, is in God hands.
I once asked Ariel Sharon what the three most important things are that The Fellowship can do for Israel. His response was: "Aliyah, aliyah, aliyah." While we have been involved in bringing Jewish people home to Israel for more than 20 years, The Fellowship has opened a new chapter in our contribution to immigration and absorption in Israel, efforts which could not have been successful without you.
The thoughts and prayers of Israelis and those who stand for Israel are with Shimon Peres, whose political career has spanned almost the entire life of the modern Jewish state. This week, at the age of 93, Peres suffered a massive stroke. May this inspirational statesman and servant continue to bless us with his gifts and presence.
