Project Spotlight: Passover Clothing Cards for Kids in Need

As part of The Fellowship‘s overall Passover assistance, we are providing clothing cards to 20,000 of Israel’s neediest children. The cards, valued at $77, are redeemable at Fox, Israel’s leading clothing store chain.

The children, who attend the Department of Welfare and Department of Education after-school programs, are not used to new clothes. It’s customary for children to get a new outfit at Passover, but these kids do without – at the holidays and throughout the year.

The sense of pride this gift brings to the children is tough to put into words. But the big smiles on their faces say a lot.

At one of many events to distribute these Fellowship cards, the children enjoyed sandwiches and snacks, a hands-on cooking project, and wishing each other — and our faithful donors who made this gift possible — l’chaim (cheers).
