Project Spotlight: Gifts for Israel's Firefighters

Beginning this spring, terrorists’ fire kites have been causing fires across agricultural fields and nature reserves in southern Israel, and brave firefighters of Israel’s Fire and Rescue Services have been putting their life on the line to spend days and nights extinguishing these fires.

We want to support the firefighters who are protecting the Holy Land, so The Fellowship arranged for members of the boys Ariel youth group in the city of Tzfat to prepare gift packages for them.

The boys prepared posters asking residents of the city to donate groceries. They collected the goods, packed them, and prepared personal thank-you cards for each firefighter. The cards said, “We are the Ariel boys branch. We express our great support for those who guard us in the south! Thank you very much!”

When we delivered the gifts, the station commander thanked The Fellowship from the bottom of his heart for the wonderful gesture and encouragement that meant so much to the firefighters.

He spoke of the difficult challenges presented by terrorism during the past five months. And he also spoke of the miraculous ability of nature to heal and already notices the healthy buds growing after all of the fires.
