Let’s Make Apple Pudding for Rosh Hashanah!

On Rosh Hashanah, which begins on September 29, it is customary for Jews to dip an apple into honey to usher in a sweet new year! In honor of this tradition, this week we’re featuring apple pudding!

Apple Pudding Recipe

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat the oil, sugar and eggs together. Add rest of ingredients and bake in well-greased medium sized pan until set, about 1 – 1-½ hours.  Serve your apple pudding recipe warm.

Ingredients

  • 6 green apples peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 4 eggs
