Faces of The Fellowship: Yosef

Yosef is an 86-year-old Holocaust survivor from Morocco. He fought in four of Israel’s wars – the War of Independence, the Sinai War, the Six Day War, and the Yom Kippur War, during which he was injured.

Today, Yosef lives in a public-housing apartment that was renovated by a Fellowship volunteer. Tragically, Yosef recently suffered a stroke and is now wheelchair-bound. He sleeps in his living room and depends on a caregiver to help him function.

Thanks to your generosity, The Fellowship gives Yosef monthly food packages that his caregiver helps him order through our virtual supermarket.

Recently Yosef was pleasantly surprised when Rabbi Eckstein delivered his monthly package. The rabbi unpacked and put away the groceries for Yosef, listened to his war stories, and looked through Yosef’s photo albums with him.

The Fellowship is proud to assist this man who has fought so bravely to establish and protect Israel.
