Faces of The Fellowship: Halyna

Andrii and Halyna are a young couple who just arrived in Israel from Ukraine with the help of The Fellowship. They can’t wait to start their new lives in their biblical homeland, and are especially grateful that their 1-year-old son has a chance to receive better medical care.

“Our son Oleksandr has a terrible diagnosis — cerebral palsy,” says Andrii. In Ukraine, they spent most of their earnings on their son’s medical bills, which had a huge impact on their finances. They believe that Israel’s health care system will offer better treatments — and that Oleksandr will have a better life.

Many of their relatives have already made aliyah (immigrated to Israel) and they are excited to reunite with them. “Fellowship representatives have demonstrated an extremely devoted and personal approach to their work helping us feel comfortable and confident [in the aliyah process],” Andrii adds.

For the first six months in Israel, the family knows they can rely on The Fellowship for the resources and financial support necessary to begin a new and successful life there. The family is very grateful to The Fellowship and our donors for all the help they’re receiving.
