Faces of The Fellowship: Esther

Learn more about how our donors helped us bring Passover blessings to Esther, so that she has what she needs to celebrate the holiday in dignity:

Esther is an 84-year-old widow who lives alone in Israel and relies on The Fellowship for survival.

Born in Dagestan, Esther had a long, successful career as an English teacher at a musical academy. Then in 1990 she fulfilled her lifelong dream of making aliyah (immigrating to Israel).

Years have passed and today, old age has caught up with Esther. She doesn’t have children to look after her, and she struggles in her elderly years. Thankfully, Esther isn’t completely alone — The Fellowship’s With Dignity and Fellowship program provides her with food, medicine, and companionship.

Fellowship President Yael Eckstein made a Passover food delivery to Esther’s home. Esther was so grateful for the precious time shared with Yael, and felt blessed to know she can celebrate the holy season in dignity. This is the kind of loving care generous Fellowship donors make possible every day.

Join us in making as many food deliveries as possible to our Jewish friends in need.
