Delivering Needed Help and Cherished Companionship

Raisa lives all alone in Israel. Originally from the former Soviet Union, she now lives in southern Israel in a tiny home that is often dark and airless as it's too expensive to use the electricity for lights or a fan. Raisa was widowed just a few months ago and in addition to her grief, she is worried about her daughter, who lives in Ukraine.

Rabbi Eckstein recently visited Raisa to deliver food as well as a wheeled shopping cart that will make future trips to the market so much easier for her to navigate. She was so appreciative for the needed gifts – and for the cherished moments of companionship.

Watch this moving video of Rabbi Eckstein's visit to learn how you bring comfort and hope to the most vulnerable Jewish people who need ongoing assistance, like Raisa.
