Blessings Needed Quickly

In the Bible, the shofar, or ram’s horn, was blown as Moses ascended Mt. Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments. And the Torah tells us the sacred instruments would be used to sound multiple blasts to signify the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, which begins the Jewish High Holy Days.

We have just a few weeks remaining until this most sacred season begins.

This leaves us just a short time to get special food packages to elderly, poverty-stricken Jews – including Holocaust survivors – who have no other place to turn.

Your help today can directly impact the life of a vulnerable elderly woman like Lilia.

As the Nazis marched into their small village in the former Soviet Union, an entire family was viciously murdered, except for an expectant mother and her brother.

For over six months, under the threat of death for helping Jews, a compassionate and brave evangelical Christian family hid the remnant of Lilia’s family in the basement.

Without their help, Lilia would not have been born and her mother and uncle would have been killed.

Today, compassionate friends like you continue this sacred work of provision and protection for impoverished elderly Jews in Israel, the former Soviet Union, and around the world through your prayers and financial gifts of support.

Yet as the sacred time of the High Holy Days quickly approaches, far too many elderly Jews do not have the food and other essentials they need to survive, let alone observe Rosh Hashanah with dignity, devotion, and joy.

You can help provide the blessings of provision and protection for vulnerable Jews like Lilia and with food and other essentials for the High Holy Days. This significant outreach simply would not be possible without the help of faithful friends of the Fellowship.

Your best gift today could be the difference between life and death for an elderly man or woman in desperate need. Please share in meeting this significant need of caring for the elderly in need around the world.
