Who We Serve

Since the fall of communism in 1990, hundreds of thousands of Jews have made aliyah (immigrated) to Israel from the former Soviet Union. They come to Israel to escape poverty, brutal winters, and the vicious anti-Semitism that is often present, even at the government level, in this part of the world. Through their support, The Fellowship’s On Wings of Eagles partners are giving new life and hope to these people who at last have the opportunity to live freely, as Jews, in their biblical homeland.

Ethiopian olim (immigrants) find a home in the Holy Land For years, Jews in Ethiopia – descendants of the ancient “lost” Jewish tribe of Dan – lived under a brutal dictatorship and were unable to practice their religion. Thankfully, the oppressive regime fell, and many Ethiopian Jews were brought home to Israel through The Fellowship’s On Wings of Eagles program. Yet, many more remain, waiting in refugee camps for the opportunity to come to their biblical homeland. And those who come to Israel must still overcome formidable barriers of language and culture as they seek to become full, productive citizens of Israel.

Through their continued support of On Wings of Eagles’ programs of aliyah (immigration) and klitah (resettlement), The Fellowship’s supporters help Ethiopian Jews find new life in the Holy Land.

Jews in Arab lands face a perilous journey to Israel Many people do not realize there are still Jews in Arab lands living under officially-sanctioned anti-Semitic oppression. Jews in these countries are regarded as second-class citizens, and are unable to practice their religion for fear of imprisonment or attack. The lucky ones are able to make aliyah (immigrate to Israel) with help from The Fellowship and its On Wings of Eagles supporters. But many others are left behind, longing for the opportunity to live in freedom in their biblical homeland.

Bnei Menashe – A “lost tribe” returns to Israel The Bnei Menashe are descendants of the tribe of Menashe, one of the ten “lost tribes” exiled from the land of Israel some 2,700 years ago. They wandered through the Far East, finally settling in a remote area of northeast India. Miraculously, despite the extended passage of time and their isolation, they in recent years have returned to their Jewish roots - and with this has come a profound longing to return to their ancient homeland, Israel. Through On Wings of Eagles, The Fellowship helps the Bnei Menashe realize their dream prophesized years ago in Scripture.
