Help Ease the Suffering of Innocent Victims of Terror
Today, Israel faces threats on multiple fronts. Reports indicate that to Israel's north the Hezbollah terrorist group has used the ceasefire that ended the 2006 Lebanon war to fully rearm. Iran continues its pursuit of nuclear weapons and calls for the destruction of the Jewish state, while Iran and Syria continue to fund and arm Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, over 2,000 rockets and mortar shells fired by Palestinian terrorists from Gaza have hit Israel's Negev desert region since January 2008 alone. As a result, many residents in the city of Sderot , the city hit hardest by the attacks, now live with post -traumatic stress disorder.
Guardians of Israel supports efforts that not only protect people from terrorist attacks, but help victims deal with physical and emotional trauma. Guardians renovates and supplies hundreds of bomb shelters, helps secure buses and bus stations, provides emergency medical supplies, security and rescue vehicles and supplies to Israeli soldiers, supports trauma centers, and fills other critical needs.
