"I'm convinced they have had almost nothing to eat during the 48 hours they were at home," said the director of Kfar Batya.
"They come back so hungry that they head straight for the cafeteria and then stand in line long before it is due to open.
"And when the food is served they eat as if they are starving and I think they are. I have instructed the kitchen staff to double the amount of food they prepare on days when the children return from home visits."
Heart-breaking stories like these are, unfortunately, still far too common in the Holy Land.
