Give the lifesaving gift of food this Passover

In some cases a donor may want to make an immediate gift to charity, but needs regular payments to supplement income at a future date. Perhaps a donor is employed and may not need the additional income until retirement, or has not reached 59 years of age to qualify for The Fellowship’s Charitable Gift Annuity.

A Deferred Gift Annuity agreement with a charity allows the donor to give an irrevocable current gift of cash or an appreciated asset now and determine a future date when the lifetime payments will begin. The Fellowship’s rates for Deferred Gift Annuities are determined based on American Council on Gift Annuities tables, the donor’s age, and the date chosen for the beginning of payments to the donor. Donors must be at least 45 years of age to qualify for a Deferred Gift Annuity contract with The Fellowship. Use our online planning tools to see if a Deferred Gift Annuity may be right for you>>

Jason’s Deferred Gift Annuity story

Jason Simpson is a 49-year old businessman who has a strong interest in supporting The Fellowship’s work to help elderly Jews and Jewish children in the former Soviet Union. He plans on retiring at age 67. He decides to enter into a Deferred Gift Annuity agreement and makes an immediate gift of $100,000 of appreciated stock. He will begin receiving payments on his 67th birthday. Based on current rates, he will supplement his retirement income with guaranteed lifetime payments of over $14,000 a year.

* IFCJ charitable gift annuities are not currently offered in California, Hawaii, New Jersey and Washington.
