Living Faith Television contributes to Wings program

Dr. Buford Smith

The late Dr. Buford Smith, founder of Living Faith Television, a Christian television network based in Abingdon, Virginia, had a great love for Israel and was a faithful supporter of the Jewish people throughout his ministry.

It was his desire to donate a percentage of income raised during Living Faith’s annual telethon to help bring Jews back to Israel. Upon Dr. Smith’s death in May 2003, his son, Dr. Michael D. Smith, assumed leadership of Living Faith Television and embraced his father’s dream.

He and the ministry board of directors decided that a percentage of funds raised during the telethon would be contributed to The Fellowship’s On Wings of Eagles program, which brings Jews home to Israel from the former Soviet Union, Ethiopia, Argentina, and other countries of distress, and helps provide for their resettlement needs in the Holy Land>.

On April 6, 2004, Rev. Jerry Clark, The Fellowship’s Manager of Church Relations, was presented with a check for $100,000 during the live broadcast of Living Faith Television’s flagship program, “From These Hills.” The money will be used to fulfill Dr. Buford Smith’s dream of bringing suffering Jews home to Israel.
