Across the country and around the world, our Fellowship partners stand at the forefront of pro-Israel activity. Below are just a few examples of extraordinary individuals, churches and other organizations that are building bridges between Christians and Jews in their own communities through fundraising events, education and political advocacy on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people. To these and so many others advocating for Israel at the grassroots level, we offer our heartfelt thanks -- and the deepest thanks of Israel and the Jewish people.

A “Night to Honor Israel” in Bakersfield, CA

In Bakersfield, California, Hal Crossley and his wife, Linda, head an organization called Californians Standing with Israel that sponsors an annual “Night to Honor Israel.” This year’s event, which featured a keynote address by Fellowship friend Pat Boone and videotaped presentations by Israeli ambassador Daniel Ayalon and Fellowship president Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, raised nearly $15,000 for The Fellowship’s Operation Safe Bus campaign.

Faith Bible Chapel’s 26th Annual “Israel Awareness Day”

Led by Pastor George Morrison and his wife, Pastor Cheryl Morrison, Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada, Colorado, has long been active in educating its members on the Jewish roots of Christianity and on Christians’ responsibility to support Israel and the Jewish people through humanitarian work and prayer. On June 13, 2004, the church’s 26th annual “Israel Awareness Day” drew more than 7,000 people to three worship services to pray for the peace and security of Israel.

Jewish and Christian organizations unite in Kansas

On June 13, Messiah Baptist Church of Wichita, Kansas, teamed up with the Mid-Kansas Jewish Federation to hold a “Salute to Israel.” Such events reflect a growing trend of Jewish and Christian organizations partnering to sponsor pro-Israel events. Speakers at this event, the first of its kind in the Wichita area, included Israeli Consul General Moshe Ram and George Mamo, COO and executive vice president of The Fellowship.

Virginia church helps Jews "return" to Israel

It was only five years ago that Pastor Lamarr Mooneyham learned about On Wings of Eagles, a program that brings Jewish people to Israel from countries of oppression across the globe.

Since that time, Pastor Mooneyham and his congregation at The Tabernacle in Danville, Virginia, have helped to bring 352 Jews home to Israel from the former Soviet Union in partnership with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Read more

Living Faith Television contributes to On Wings of Eagles program

The late Dr. Buford Smith, founder of Living Faith Television, a Christian television network based in Abingdon, Virginia, had a great love for Israel and was a faithful supporter of the Jewish people throughout his ministry.

It was his desire to donate a percentage of the income raised during Living Faith’s annual telethon to help bring Jews back to Israel. Upon Dr. Smith’s death in May 2003, his son, Dr. Michael D. Smith, assumed leadership of Living Faith Television and embraced his father’s dream. Read more
