Watch: Israel's Answer to Enemy Drones

With worldwide technology continuing to develop, the Israeli tech industry is also staying ahead of the game. The Jerusalem Post reports on an Israeli "Drone Guard" that is being used for both military and civilian purposes:

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) announced Wednesday that demand for its "Drone Guard" detection and disruption counter UAV system has been steadily increasing in sales over the past year, attributed to both its military and civilian applications.

According to IAI, the Drone Guard possess advanced external hardware which enables it to "detect low signature, low-level and low-speed airborne targets" using 3D radars which include the ELM-2026D, ELM-2026B and ELM-2026BF for short (10km), medium (15km) and long (20 km) ranges, respectively.

In addition, the new "disruption drone system" is fitted with advanced internal software technology capable of "jamming" enemy aircraft or UAVs, which can be used in concert with its detection and identification sensors made by ELTA Systems Ltd., an IAI subsidiary.

"We have managed to pack high grade military radar and jamming capabilities into a compact, effective and affordable drone protection system," IAI Executive VP and ELTA President Nissim Hadas said in statement...
