Body of American Vet Killed by Palestinian Terrorist Returned Home

The body of Taylor Force, an American war veteran and graduate student, was given a send-off ceremony at Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv earlier this week. The veteran of both wars in Afghanistan and Iraq was killed last week by a Palestinian terrorist some 500 feet from where Vice President Joe Biden was meeting with former Israeli President Shimon Peres.

Also this week in Israel in the News:

• Police in France say they foiled what’s being called an “imminent attack” by ISIS in a raid there on Wednesday. Three men and one woman with suspected ties to ISIS were arrested during the raid.
• The military arm of Islamic Jihad operating in Gaza released a propaganda video this week threatening Israel Defense Forces soldiers patrolling the border.
The Fellowship has given a record-breaking $8.5 million donation to aid IDF lone soldiers in need. The aid will provide basic clothes, appliances, and other daily resources.
• The U.S. Department of Defense is collaborating with Israeli forces to develop a system of defensive tunnels to counter the terror tunnels used by Hamas during the 2014 conflict with Gaza.

This week’s Israel in the News Perspective features The Fellowship’s Yonit Rothchild on the heroes of Gush Junction.

Passover a Sacred Time to Save Lives

Help the Unseen

You can heed the biblical mandate “not to turn away from your own flesh and blood” (Isaiah 58:7) and provide a needy elderly Jew, like Olga, with food, heating fuel, warm clothes, and blankets this winter. Every day is important as the harsh cold winds descend upon the former Soviet Union. Please prayerfully consider giving your best and most generous gift to The Fellowship today for this lifesaving work.
