US Officially Recognizes Israeli Control over Golan

Before flying back to Israel to deal with the rocket attack that struck the Sharon region and the heightened tensions that have gripped the Holy Land, PM Netanyahu paid a visit to the White House on Monday for a monumental event. The Jerusalem Post's Herb Keinon tells us that Trump at last officially signed a declaration recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the Goland Heights:

U.S. President Donald Trump signed a decree on Monday saying the United States recognizes Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, territory that Israel seized from Syria in the 1967 Middle East war.

Earlier, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the White House at noon Monday for his meeting with US President Donald Trump in the shadows of Hamas’ missile attack on Central Israel.

Following the meeting Netanyahu is  scheduled to fly directly back to Israel forgoing the rest of his planned schedule, which included a speech to AIPAC tomorrow, a meeting with Congressional leaders and a dinner meeting with President Trump.

Netanyahu is expected to speak with Trump about the attack and Israel’s response...
